Crimmigration Training Series

Crimmigration Training Series

The Crimmigration Training Series is an upcoming, four-part, fully online program that centers on immigration issues as a collateral consequence of conviction. It was created to provide Public Defenders with information about immigration consequences beyond a preliminary introduction, ensuring they leave having obtained the necessary training and education to represent clients facing similar issues.

While some information contained in this training pertains to specific legal issues faced by attorneys, the Crimigration series welcomes all Public Defender staff, including social service advocates, investigators, and support staff. Each individual session will feature immigration-related best practices that are applicable to all public defense work.

Programming is scheduled for the following dates, but subject to change. Those interested can check updates on the PDAP website or sign up for our general listserv for more information regarding agendas and registration.
