Trial Skills: Story of the Case
This year’s Trial Skills BYOC will take place in State College. This is a theory of defense-based training. Each participant must bring their own case to workshop throughout the training. Participants will learn important skills such as Opening Statements, Cross Examination, Direct Examination, and Closing Arguments, but then also be able to put those skills into practice using their own case. Participation is limited to three people per office.
FOR: Public Defender attorneys ranging from novice to moderate level of experience handling trials (1-5 years, 0-10 jury trials)
