Race & Effective Advocacy: Telling the Client's Racial Story
PDAP’s three-part Race and Effective Advocacy series is intended for any Public Defender in a client-facing role who wants to learn about the role race plays in client advocacy and how to best fight for clients of color.
This session will focus on telling the client’s racial story – identifying and articulating racial context in a case, incorporating race into case theory in a meaningful and ethical way, and communicating that story to judges, juries, and stakeholders.
