Community Justice Project

The Community Justice Project handles a wide variety of legal services to individuals throughout Pennsylvania. They can help individuals from every county, except Philadelphia County. They do not work with individuals who are seeking assistance with a case they are already having to go to court for. However, they provide legal assistance for some of the following issues: worker’s rights, immigration services, public benefit application / appeals, violence against women, and civil rights discrimination. Their immigration services include: naturalization, VISA / green card renewals, work permits, humanitarian release, citizenship applications, and language access. As of November 2025, they are not handling asylum or removal proceedings. Their civil rights services include: class action/litigation on employment/housing. In order to be a client to them, individuals must be 187% below the federal poverty guideline. All services are free to clients. Individuals should reach out to the office closest to them to seek services, if they cannot provide services to you, they can refer you to other resources. To seek services, individuals can go to their website and submit and inquiry or call their office.
