English Classes:
Paid English classes are offered each season both in-person and online. To register as a new student, go to their office in-person on Monday or Wednesday between 9:30am-5pm (if you can’t make it in-person, call). During registration, you will: complete an English assessment, choose your class time, and pay for your course (cash or credit).

Immigration Legal Services:
Immigration legal services are available for those who are low income, reside in Philadelphia (or surrounding areas), and are seeking related services. Their services include: family based immigration petitions, adjustment of status, citizenship and naturalization, green card renewals and replacements, immigration options for survivors of domestic violence and other crimes, and immigration options for survivors of torture. They do not accept walk-ins, their consultation fee is $60 (paid in advance, may be waived for survivors or domestic violence, crime, or torture). Initial consultations take place via phone. Consultation does not ensure they can take your case. Survivor Support Programs:
They have various programs that provide comprehensive supports and a path of healing for survivors of domestic violence, torture, trafficking, and unaccompanied children. Check their website for specific program details (https://nscphila.org/our-focus-areas/survivor-services).

 

Youth Programs (Ages 14-24):
They offer youth programs as well, which are free programs for youth ages 14-24. Their main program is their **Ready 4 Life program**, a 16-hour workshop series for youth to learn life skills and communication skills to help them have more success in the U.S. They also offer a **Wellness Workshop**, an 8-part workshop series for youth to learn about the eight dimensions of wellness. Finally, their **English for Spanish Speakers program** is an 8-part ESL class for Spanish speaking youth who are new to English. All program options are offered online and in-person. Their programs are offered in a variety of languages including: English, Spanish, Dari, Pashto, Ukrainian, Russian, Arabic, French, and Swahili. New clients are accepted on a rolling basis, and class schedules are flexible.

 

Case Management & Wellness Support:
This organization will also help refugees, immigrants, asylum seekers, and survivors or torture connect with needed case management, health care, mental health care, and wellness support. They will help newly arrived refugees with job readiness and job placement support.
