Squirrel Hill Health Center is a federally qualified health center that serves Allegheny residents from two locations (Squirrel Hill and Brentwood) as well as having a mobile unit that provides additional services (call for more information). Their main facilities do not turn anyone away and are experienced in working with non-citizens and uninsured individuals (payments on a sliding scale, proof of income required). For uninsured patients, they host specialty clinics monthly with the University of Pittsburgh medical students (audiology, dermatology, and ophthalmology clinics). For all patients they have medical, dental, and OBYGN services. They also provide substance abuse treatments and have behavioral health resources for those being seen through their medical department and are recieving yearly medical exams. Their social service department also assists people in getting connected with food stamps, transportation, referrals to other places, and specialized care.
