The Phittsburgh Vet Center is part of the Department of Veterans Affairs and serves warzone veteran’s and their family members. In order to be seen by this center for mental health treatment, you must have served in combat in the military or have sexual trauma from the military. For individual’s who are court involved, they will provide a release of information to the courts with a signature from the veteran and will tell the courts about how often the veteran is being seen, but will not provide evaluations. They also do not do drug treatment, but will refer veterans to the VA hospital, where they have drug treatment programs.
