Nathan Lee Vonderheide

I am Nathan Lee Vonderheide, Assistant Public Defender at the Chester County Public Defender’s office. I have been in this position for just over a year now. I began my legal career in the Office of Chief Counsel for the IRS working out of the Philadelphia field office. I had a very brief stay with them as I quickly realized it was not something I was truly passionate about or could make a difference in. I remembered my work in the criminal defense clinic while in law school and was reminded of how rewarding that work was. I felt a push to get back into that area of law and I made the jump to where I am now.

I grew up in Lancaster, PA. I completed my undergraduate degree at Millersville University. I completed law school at Widener University Delaware Law School. I am married to my beautiful wife of four years. We have two of the greatest children in the world, Nala Jane Vonderheide (3) and Noah Paul Vonderheide (1).
