Preliminary Hearing Training

The Preliminary Hearing Training is a recently launched online training library made available through the National Association for Public Defense (NAPD)’s TalentLMS program. This training follows an on-demand format that enables participants to learn at their own pace as they pick up best practices that cover scenarios from the inception of a case to the conclusion of a preliminary hearing.

While all PA Public Defender attorneys can benefit from this course, it specifically targets new attorneys who want to gain more skills related to the preliminary hearing process. Its ultimate purpose is to share the collective experience and knowledge of Public Defenders across the state of Pennsylvania, promoting collaboration between both newer and more experienced attorneys.
