Mentor Kelly Mclaughlin

Kelly currently serves as a Manager in the Trial Division at Allegheny County Office of the Public Defender. Kelly has served in this position since May 2022, but has been a public defender with the office since November 2018.
In 2015, Kelly graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations. In 2018, Kelly graduated from Georgetown University Law. While in law school, Kelly focused on a career in public defense. She interned/externed with the Public Defender’s Office for the City of Alexandria, the Washoe County Public Defender’s Office, and the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia. In her third year of law school, Kelly represented clients in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia through Georgetown’s Criminal Justice Clinic.
