I am Taylor Dunn, the Chief of the Pretrial Division at the Delaware County Office of the Public Defender. I have been a public defender for 12 years. I went to law school with the specific goal of becoming a Delaware County Public Defender. During the last 4 years my role within the office has been the training and mentoring of new lawyers as they litigate cases throughout Delaware County in the District Courts and generally running the day to day operations of the Pretrial division. Prior to my role in management I was a trial room lawyer for 6 years litigating cases from DUIs to Homicides with a focus on SVU cases.
When not fighting with the DAs office, I am an unabashed nerd – with a weekly Dungeons and Dragons game that I have played with the same group since high school. I am super excited about this program and the statewide community we can build around public defense.
Our mission is to provide tools, strategies, mutual support, training and information to Public Defender Offices in Pennsylvania; to be the voice of public defense in Pennsylvania; and to promote best practices in the leadership, management, and administration of justice in Pennsylvania.
