Advocating with Racial Awareness: Communicating with Clients and Families
PDAP’s three-part Advocating with Racial Awareness series is intended for anyone who wants to learn about the role race plays in client advocacy and how to best support clients of color. Participants are encouraged to attend all three sessions, but each training is equally valuable on its own.
This session will focus on culturally responsive communication strategies and ways to navigate difficult conversations with clients and their families. Stay tuned for information about future sessions on Telling the Client’s Racial Story and Language, Framing & Client Advocacy.
