Understanding Levels of Care in Substance Use Treatment

This virtual training provides a practical overview of substance use treatment, including defining acronyms and key terms and how different levels of care are determined and adjusted in real-world clinical practice. We’ll discuss the ASAM assessment, the most widely used framework for assessing, placing and treating for substance use, as well as how treatment decisions are intended to be made and where system constraints can lead to gaps between best practice and reality.
